A published poet in the library!

March 25th, 2007 · No Comments

I’m thrilled to announce that we have a published poet in the library.

Kalimah wrote a love poem which won first prize (worth S$ 1,500) in a Malay newspaper contest in February. The contest, in honour of Valentine’s Day, was open to couples who had been married at least 30 years — and Kalimah celebrates her 40th wedding anniversary this year.

Looking back on Book Week

March 22nd, 2007 · No Comments

A wonderful week, which I’m still recovering from. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success.

  • I loved seeing everyone’s creativity on Tuesday in dressing up as a character from a book. All photos of the week will reside on SAMBA Server (P:\Book Week 13-3-07). Printouts of the Infant classes all dressed up are also up on the display boards outside the library — as well as the work of some K2 PWa students writing about Book Week. A display of the best of the Junior school students in book character costumes will follow, once the teachers finish delivering them to me or Joseph or the Y: drive (\\nerdanel\Shared\Book Week Photos).Infant Dress-Up parade
